Interlibrary Loan Requests
Please use this form to obtain items not available at the GTU library, SFTS library or UC-Berkeley library. If you aren't sure if an item is owned locally, please ask one of the reference librarians, we are happy to help.
For more information, please read the FAQ's at the bottom of this page.
All Interlibrary loans are subject to compliance with Title 17 Copyright Law
NOTICE WARNING CONCERNING COPYRIGHT RESTRICTIONS:
一道本不卡免费高清 The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or other reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.

一道本不卡免费高清Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a network of various libraries and institutions in North America that agree to loan items to one another. If the GTU Library does not have a book or periodical that you are seeking, we will ask others on the network to send a copy to us so that we may in turn loan it to you. You will be notified via e-mail when your material arrives. Materials can be picked up from the Circulation desk during open hours
一道本不卡免费高清ILL is available to current GTU students and faculty who are in good standing with the library for free. If you are not a GTU student or faculty member, please contact your local public library.
GTU does not fill requests for materials that are owned by GTU or UC Berkeley libraries. Please check GRACE and OskiCat prior to submitting your request. At this time we are unable to borrow international materials. All materials are loaned at the discretion of the owning institution; some materials may not be eligible for loan. For un-loanable materials, consider completing a purchase request form.
You may make requests in person or online by providing some information about the item you are looking for.
一道本不卡免费高清You have several options:
- Fill out the form on this page and submit it online.
- Print out an ILL request form and return it to either the SFTS or GTU library.
- Pick up a form from the circulation or reference desks.
- Request directly from a WorldCat listing.
If you are far from the Bay Area, you should check with your local public or university library to see if they can provide ILL services to you for books. We can mail our books to the library closest to you, but the request needs to come from the local library directly.
一道本不卡免费高清You can request ILL articles not owned by the GTU library via this form and we will email those to you. If there is an article or book chapter and we only have it in print, use this form to request it, and in the notes field, tell us that you are a distance student. We can send a scan from our collection to you if you are outside of the 9-county Bay Area.
一道本不卡免费高清You may have as many as 5 (five) active ILL items to your library account at one time.
Faculty and PhD students-in-dissertation: you can have 10 at a time.
一道本不卡免费高清Network members typically ship materials through the United States Postal Service. Depending on processing and shipping times, materials can take as long as three weeks to arrive.
Materials check out for two weeks. Some items may be renewed once for an additional two weeks with the consent of the lending library. Renewal requests must be made on or before the due date. Only Interlibrary Loan staff can assist with renewal requests. Contact the Interlibrary Loan office at email@example.com to request a renewal. Items that are non renewable will be noted on the information band. Overdue items are not eligible for renewal and must be returned promptly. If you lose an interlibrary loan item, you will be charged the replacement cost as defined by the lending institution’s policy.
The best way is by emailing ILL@gtu.edu
