Statement of Educational Effectiveness

一道本不卡免费高清The Graduate Theological Union is committed to the highest standards of educational effectiveness in all of its academic programs. Measures of educational effectiveness include graduation rates, the length of time that students take to complete their degrees, and placement after graduation in positions appropriate to their vocational objectives.

Doctoral Program

The GTU doctoral program is an advanced academic research degree intended to prepare students for professional careers in teaching, writing, and scholarship, as well as for leadership opportunities with religious organizations, social service agencies, foundations, museums, libraries, publishing, and in educational institutions.

According to a 2007 Council of Graduate Studies report, the average 10-year graduation rate for doctoral programs in the humanities was 49.3%. The table below shows the graduation rates for GTU doctoral student cohorts who entered the program in the years specified.

Master of Arts

The MA is a two-year degree program that provides a basic understanding of theological or religious studies for further graduate study or for general academic purposes. Some MA students attend school part-time and others pursue this degree concurrently with the MDiv or another master’s program at one of the GTU member schools.
